Quality Management
Squirrel began its ISO 9001 accreditation back in 1994 with the British Standards Institute (BSI) and has
expanded it to include all of our sites as they are purchased and brought in to service. Squirrel's quality system was
described as "mature" by a previous BSI assessor and was recently upgraded to an integrated management system
(IMS) as our accreditation was extended to achieve the ISO 14001 environmental system.
Integrated Management Certification - PAS 99: 2006 Certificate No. 518949 (We are one of the first
companies in the UK to achieve this)
Quality Management System - ISO 9001:2000 Certificate No. 28252 (We are now in our thirteenth year of
accreditation)
Environmental Management System - ISO 14001: 2004 Certificate No. 510975 (We are only the second
archive company in the UK to achieve this)
In 2004, we undertook a BSI benchmarking process that lead to the award of a Gold Standard. We ensure
that our clients receive this service on a daily basis and we continually strive through continuous improvement
initiatives to innovate our service delivery. We have never believed that we can be complacent and understand that
the key to our track record is committed, trained staff who are enthusiastic and caring in their relationships with
their clients.
As part of our Integrated Management System expansion programme, we intend to seek accreditation for
our Health & Safety management system this year against the ISO 18001 standard.
Storage in Line with the recommendations of BS5454
In line with the recommendations of BS 5454:2000, all buildings are situated away from areas susceptible
to natural or manmade hazards so all locations are situated away from high-risk flood areas. As part of our due diligence
we undertake full risk assessment of each location. This has shown that, all sites have a very low risk of flooding.
This means that the risk is less than a one in a thousand years.
