Squirrel operates a national fleet of vehicles using a selection of different sized
vehicles to accommodate the full range of delivery and collection requests.
All vehicles are fitted with immobilisers, alarms and they also incorporate phones...so
you can always stay in touch.
Our vehicles make daily delivery and collection runs from all our locations and we normally
provide a 24 hour collection service from the time of request. If there is a special requirement for a
large uplift exceeding 100 boxes, we would normally expect to maintain a 24 hours collection service
level from the time of request. It happens often that if a request for a collection is made before 12.00pm
then the items will be collected on that day unless the planned collections exceed the capacity of all of our
vehicles. So sometimes we are even better than our own 24 hour collection service!

Document Collection & Delivery Procedures
In most cases clients prefer to prepare and box their own files and supply a manifest
of the contents of each box. All boxes should be clearly marked in order that these can be checked
upon collection. After placing a log of the contents of each box inside the box it should then be
sealed. Should we discover at the preparation stage that the content of the box does not tally with
the supplied log the customer will be immediately notified.
Squirrel is happy to provide a boxing up service at an agreed hourly rate and we can
also provide boxes for you to carry out this exercise.
Squirrel would record the content of each box onto a collection note and the outside of the
box will be either numbered or marked according to its content.
A collection note detailing the following will be supplied to the customer;
- Number of boxes
- Contents/copy of manifest
- Date of collection
- Name of person collecting
Intermediate/Urgent Retrieval Requirements
Our standard procedure for any work in progress is as follows;
The customer should inform us by e-mail stating the file required and give any supporting data
available i.e. case number etc.
The item will then be
scanned before being returned electronically via email, placed on our
hosted EDM system or in the case where the original document is required, this will be returned at the agreed
cost.
We aim to carry all requests out within 24 hours.
